The University of Southern California has been working with Pentagram to develop an updated identity system for California’s oldest private research university. The previous system was developed by Saul Bass in 1994.
The project began in the spring of 2011, and like all major identity overhauls, it has taken some time to get everything organized and distributed for use by all the outlets involved.
It’s interesting to see such a well known and respected university such as USC take on a project as demanding as this. Of course they tapped the best in the business to take them through it, and by looking at the complete scope of work I would think that every nook and cranny has been considered.
