I saw this coming but now it’s official. Google’s Chrome web browser has overtaken Internet Explorer 8 as the most used internet browser.
I’ve used Chrome for a couple of years now and have really enjoyed the loading speed versus its competition, and also the way iGoogle is implemented so well. I still have a lot of confidence in Safari, but Google Chrome is my quick click ‘go-to’ browser of choice.
I am also a web designer, so I know the headaches that IE versions have made on me personally and I have never really felt sorry for Microsoft when critical comments are made. I hate having to dig around for code specific to particular IE versions to make a very simple website perform correctly, which is something I absolutely never have to do for Chrome or Safari, and only moderately for Firefox.
